Since its inception as a commercial printer, eventually adding the distribution of packaging and related services like logistics and fulfillment to it’s services offering, the Trico name has been well known in the Eastern Ontario and Quebec markets since 1984. Today, a consolidation of Delta Printing and National Printers, Trico has grown to be one of the largest and fastest growing privately held printing and packaging companies in the region.
On February 28, 2020 at the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic and after working within the business, Michael Hothi, now President and Owner, purchased the assets of Trico and rebranded it as Trico Packaging and Print Solutions Inc., (TricoPPS).
Occupying nearly 60,000 sqft in the Hunt Club and Prince of Wales area, TricoPPS produces custom-manufactured business materials, often from paper or synthetic materials. We also procure a range of industrial supplies and products from around the world for businesses and consumers. Our focus is primarily paper packaging and commercial printing, both industries with a long history and a fast-evolving story. We don’t just produce these items, we help our clients do what they do with these products and are in constant search for creative, innovative and environmentally sustainable ways to increase our service and product offerings to our customers.
In 2020, in response to market demand and ownership’s committed vision to diversify its offering, TricoPPS added to its portfolio of Health & Safety products, medical grade surgical masks. First making use of its offshore resources and eventually relieving the reliance on an offshore supply chain, TricoPPS is now one of the only North American surgical mask manufacturers using 100% domestically sourced materials.
